ABOUT

Daniel Wright, Ethan Glazer, and Trevor Bahnson

Song Preservation Society is an alternative folk trio best known for their vocal harmonies, prolific song writing, and charismatic live performances.  Most often compared to Crosby Stills & Nash, Paul Simon, Fleet Foxes or Bon Iver, SPS delivers an authentic sound that is both timeless and fresh.

Band mates Trevor Bahnson, Ethan Glazer and Daniel Wright met at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where they formed a rock band called 7 Orange ABC.  Post graduation, the group moved to California’s bay area, where they lived together, wrote songs and performed together nearly every day.  Soon enough, they began performing as an all-acoustic trio on the side in an effort to “preserve” their own songs that didn’t quite fit the style of a rock group.  By 2010, the project had taken on a life of its own with a rapidly growing fan base and what seemed like overnight, Song Preservation Society had arrived on the scene.

The members of Song Preservation Society currently reside in Los Angeles, CA.  Recent performance highlights include opening for Brett Dennen, playing sold out shows at Sunset Strip’s House of Blues and San Francisco’s Great American Music Hall.

    Dan, Trevor, and Ethan,
I really enjoyed your performance at The Lafayette’s Town Hall Theatre.

  2. You guys are great! I heard you on Piedmont Avenue last night and could hardly believe it – authentic musicians making the most of acoustic sound, simple and pure. My first thought two blocks out – before I figured out where the sound was coming from – “Wow, sounds like Crosby Stills & Nash, only with tighter harmonies!”
Thanks for your talent and obvious passion and dedication.

I heard one of you playing in the Berkeley BART station last night, wow. I think you made my kiwi friend’s arrival to East Bay fantastic, seeing as he raved about you later. Anyway, your talent is obvious and your voice is so lovely. I’m so glad you perform in public spaces and hope to see you and your whole band one of these days.
